Some questions..

First, thanks for putting SOW back together..love it!

1. How hard would it be to implement 'real weather'? A flight sim game changer in my option.
2. Is there any way to know a bomber's available targets BEFORE choosing an aircraft, fuel, bomb load and fuses?
3. Is it possible to get target location with a bit more accuracy: AX 21.9 instead of just AX 21?
4. I don't think I have ever been intercepted while flying a bomber by any AI - can/will this occur?
5. With the relatively low 'live' player count is it possible to increase the size of AI raids?
6. Are there any free standing AI patrols? Never seen one yet.

That's it for now. I'm sure you're VERY busy but thought I would ask.

That depends in the long run on how much improvement TFS can make with the weather system. I'm encouraged with what I've seen in the early WIP screenshots of TrueSky with the weather system. However in the short term, we are stuck with what we have, and the current SoW code does make some use of variable weather but it's limited at best. I'd love to increase the variety of conditions available but I doubt I'll go as far as implementing "real weather" (which I'm taking to mean historical conditions) since we want players to play, poor conditions may write off flying operations for whole missions or days.

At present no. Spawn in an aircraft, hit tab4 menu and then respawn as required is my best advice. I may look at being able to see the targets on the website but that will apply only to registered players.

Not really feasible no. It would mean hard coding all the locations as the game has no concept of the ".1" element. I dont really have time to go through and find and update everything either.

It can occur within limited conditions. There are some AI fighter flights and they will engage if they see you. We don't have a pseudo GCI capability for the AI as yet although it is something I've toyed with.

Its possible but risky. The AI numbers were carefully balanced to make sure the server didn't fall over if there was a sudden in rush of players. I can tweak numbers up if the players aren't there but I can't then take them away if they arrive so it's tricky.

There are "mini raids" which are what I'd call background activity and these can contain all sorts of aircraft including fighters. As above I'm looking at coding some fighter activity.

Thanks. Sadly I've been very busy with a new job and real life rather than the server so it's taken a bit longer than I'd expected to get the campaign running.

@Reddog I recall coding decimal grid references on the Campaign Interface. Are you using this at all? If so, maybe referring to that might be a compromise... at least for mission planning purposes, even if it is not possible while actually flying.

Seems in Stats something wrong. There are differences in the number of objects destroyed and the mass of bombs dropped in personal and squad statistics. Not everyone of course. I was interested in TWC pilots bombers.

Thanks. The stats may not be correct because I don't think I wiped them properly at the start of the testing. I will take a look and check there isn't a problem.
