BFVG Harrier Field Ops Mod

Looks like a pretty useful mod for anyone planning on making Harrier missions.

It does overwrite the standard 4 slot FARP though, which is a shame, and it seems the Viggen can't handle it either. :roll:

Could also double as matting/runways for WW2/Korea advanced landing grounds presumably (did a quick test and you can takeoff and land with the Mustang and the Sabre at least).

That is great news. I was looking at this and thinking that a Harrier campaign using this would be great. I will have a look at it with the Normandy Map and the WWII a/c and the Sabre and the Mig-15

Seems the hard part is finding somewhere flat enough to put an airstrip without it clipping through the ground.



Now if only ED would get rid of all the ALGs on Normandy and just add the buildings etc to the editor instead.

In 1.5.8 there are several abandoned strips like he used in the demonstration, Nevada has some as well but Normandy does not. Your best bet in all maps is to place it close to a road and use that maybe as the runway.

I can see a use for this in Normandy placing it in areas off of the detailed map area that are flat to simulate historical airfield locations while we wait for grass strip placeable airfields.

How about Templehoff airport with a 262 squadron and escort long range B-17 raids to destroy targets near Berlin?
