4:19 -- how did you both miss that head on?

7:33 -- That is very green glass.

14:27 -- Interesting point regarding the server messages. From the victim's point of view, it also means that one can sometimes "bluff" out of a fight by feigning going-in and then skimming out on the deck. If you are lucky, you can sometimes trick your opponent and by the time they realise, you've escaped. If you are not lucky, you misjudge the pull-out...

The server messages thing is so important for making multiplayer more realistic. One of the biggest problems I find with online fighting is the tendency to shoot an opponent into the ground rather than inflict damage and disengage. This results in all fights, no matter what altitude they start at, descending to the deck eventually unless a wing gets blown off or the fuel tank explodes - or server message informs that the pilot is dead.

This is a perfect example of why server messages like that result in poor simulating. Very good to see a tacview of it. It does show, however, that urge to shoot someone into the ground. It's a hard habit to break.

The other side of that coin is that people will fight to the death because they'd rather take you with them than keep their virtual pilot alive, which pushes people into the 'make sure he's DEAD-dead' way of flying.
