It is looking very good, just a shame it is from the wrong side of the Atlantic! I've seen stuff suggesting Gr.7/9 may be coming in the future though.

Given all the Harriers over here are 'historical' now days I think I'd prefer one from the Cold War/Falklands era, although a Gr.7/9 would be nice, but for now I guess we'll have to make do with an American one with roundels painted on.

I think quite a few of us are itching for a Falklands scenario.

The problem is a) what aircraft are there to go against and b) who is going to fly them?

Well there is an A-4 Skyhawk mod in development, though I was thinking more the generic 70's/80's Cold War stuff, seeing as we're also getting the F-14 and F-4, in which case the enemy aircraft are obviously the MiG-28s. :P

The GR.3 and Sea Harrier have been talked about. I’d go for them. They’ve made the Invincible Class carrier...

The short trailer looked exciting but there was a link from there to a longer video of the harrier performing a mission and it merely confirmed my dislike of jet combat. Half an hour of flying in large circles clicking on a tv screen without looking outside the cockpit except to see distant explosions. For me it is like 'OK guys we are going to go down the pub for a game of darts. For you jet pilots though I have given each of you pile of photos of the dartboard and you can sit here in front of your PCs and mark an 'X' where your darts will land. Isn't that fun?'

Well, I would say that the whole 'drop a LGB from 30k whilst watching a TV screen' is the extreme and boring end of the spectrum, with the other end being 'taking off from an ad-hoc field base, flying through a valley and firing rockets at the enemy from low altitude whilst dodging AA fire', but if you're doing the latter you might as well do it in a GR.3 whilst listening to 80's music. :P
