Hi phil, hi gents,

was as usualy a nice mission and fun. The light at the start looks so nice. The only thing that was not so nice, where the havy stutters/lags that i had, cupple of times behind enemy in shootingrange. Every time i open fire, they start to make crazy moves and went from flying straigh and level to nose down ans split S in less than 0.5 seconds + the distance went from 150m to around 500m. Never had this before on SoW Events in DCS. Maby problem of the different server we used?

Salute to Hiro and some other guye for bring me down 2 times in this mission.

Hopefully we will get SoW go again as a 24/7 sever. The only problem is the missing blue forces in the events, we need more of them, even when the numbers are historical it should be close with the numbers for red or blue, as i think most of the blue DCS pilots will not fly against the numbers we have in the moment. More promotion is needed :D .

Hi LD,

Yes, we need more LW flyers for events. HOWEVER, I disagree that "historical" numbers were even.

Total LW fighter strength was 570 operational aircraft in Luftflotte 3 on June 5th
The allies had 3200 operational fighters and between 1000 and 2000 bombers.
That's 7 allied aircraft for each LW fighter.

On Sunday in our mission we had (max airborne)
7 x B17 AI
4 x P51 AI
6 x Spitfire human
4 x P51 (human)
TOTAL ALLIES: 21 aircraft

4 x Bf109 AI
2 x FW190 AI
6 x mix FW190 and Bf109 (human)
TOTAL AXIS: 12 aircraft

On Sunday, the ratio was 1.75 allied aircraft for each LW fighter.
This was much, much better odds for the LW than historical.

That's your problem, we're flying Mustangs we aren't supposed to have until 1945. :P

although apparently they're the Pacific version...

If I didn’t live on the other side of the world I would be flying blue with you guys because the 109 is easier by far to take off and land than the Spit. That isn’t historical.
That aside if blue isn’t having fun then red might find that it has to play with itself and I have heard that can lead to blindness.

Great Mission Phil.

Our guys are looking forward to the next battle. I'm sorry I had to leave early but I had work that day. We have an events calendar on our site, as soon as you announce we will put it in and give you a count of our attending pilots.

Thank you for the time and effort it took to put this all together.

Hey, do we have any recordings of this mission ? I felt like it was the most intense event thus far and certainly we are getting there so was wondering if anyone was also recording it ?

Yes, I was recording, but I have not mixed the footage down into something suitable for upload yet.
Dix (flying a 54 Sqn spitfire) was streaming the mission, his streamed video is here:
